[ 1 Dec 2011 | Comments Off on Reaction of ACT Teachers Rep. Tinio on CGMA’s detention at Veteran’s Memorial Hospital ]

PRESS RELEASE
December 1, 2011

Reaction of ACT Teachers Rep. Tinio on CGMA’s detention at Veteran’s Memorial Hospital: “It appears that a double standard continues to prevail in our justice system. If the judge’s ruling is based solely on the testimony of Mrs. Arroyo’s personal physician that she is suffering from colitis and diarrhea, then by that same yardstick, thousands of ordinary detainees must be afforded the same consideration and likewise be placed under hospital arrest. But the fact is, they are not. They continue to languish in jail despite suffering far worse ailments. The political prisoner Crisanto Fat, an ordinary farmer from Negros, died of a heart condition while in detention while his plea for medical treatment went unheeded.”

[ 1 Dec 2011 | Comments Off on Reaction of ACT Teachers Rep. Tinio on “Put the Little Girl to Sleep” plot ]

PRESS RELEASE
December 1, 2011

Reaction of ACT Teachers Rep. Tinio on “Put the Little Girl to Sleep” plot: “It’s a laughable fabrication concocted by the Arroyo camp, reflecting her desperation to keep her house arrest bid alive. But we must remember that we’re dealing with someone who fabricated election results to maintain her grip on power, and therefore has no scruples when it comes to lying to the public to justify her actions. Put this story to bed and put Arroyo in jail.”

Reaction of ACT Teachers Party-List Representative Antonio L. Tinio on the Supreme Court decision to distribute Hacienda Luisita: “The Supreme Court ruling to distribute Hacienda Luisita is long-awaited and historic in its significance. At long last, the tillers of Luisita’s lands will become their owners. The decision to redistribute is firmly anchored on social justice and transcends the political conflicts of the day. It must be implemented immediately, with no less than President Aquino taking the lead.”

[ 18 Nov 2011 | Comments Off on ACT Teachers solon’s reactions on COMELEC’s electoral sabotage complaints vs. GMA and impeachment moves vs. Pres. Aquino ]

PRESS RELEASE
November 18. 2011

ACT Teachers Party-List Representative on COMELEC’s electoral sabotage complaint vs. Rep. Gloria Arroyo: “This is welcome news, long-awaited by everyone hoping to hold former Pres. Arroyo accountable for the massive vote-rigging under her watch. We expect that the Pasay court will issue a warrant for her arrest and a hold departure order as soon as possible. Seeing her behind bars is the first step in holding her accountable for her vote-rigging, plunder, and human rights violations. The prospect of attaining justice would be a fitting Christmas gift for our people.” Read more…
